Just bought a Tippmann Gryphon!

Hey, Names Alex and i am new to paintballer forums and new to paintball too, ive played a few games here and there for birthdays and my stag party.. decided its about time i start getting my own gear because i love paintballing!

So yeah ive bought a Tippmann gryphon, i know its cheap and probably not the best but i liked the look of it and it was an ideal price for my current situation (being new and not having lots of cash lying about lol).

Anyone else own or owned one? what do you think?

That's was my first marker and still have it now although I never use it, pretty good gun especially for the cost.

wicked! do you recommend any upgrades? and any tips?

There's no real upgrades unfortunately, they are pretty reliable though as long as you look after it, maybe a nice barrel kit

With your own you get your choice, are responsible for maintaining it - will work well for you if maintained
Renting you just get the site gun which will have been used and abused by others.

How worth it depends on personal choice and where/how you play.
If playing punter games then your own gun is not very important
Playing more and at events or walkons then you will want slomething different
