They're good starter markers, I was tempted to buy one when I first started just over a year ago however I started with a Tippmann Crossover, and now I have the Etha's big brothers (2.1 and the 3.1)

Where about's is your local site?

Etha seems like a very good marker to get started with, they are a great price too. start with and etha then save up and move on to an etek. Then save some more and get an ego/geo :)

yer i have seen that they seem to popular with people getting in to it and some people that have been in the game awhile what i like from them is there easy to maintain by the looks of it as the only grease not grease and oil and looks easy to take apart and put back together again. but yes i have seen the etek 5 and that looks a real nice bit of kit. i would love to go for one of then but dont no if i want to go that high straight off the bat

Yea! you will get used to cleaning and maintaining your marker as you play :) I do suggest you go second hand for a first marker though, get a lot more for your money. Also get a lot of good deals.

It's the best way to go! It sure is, all about what you prefer at the end of the day. I am only just starting to play again after 2 years out. Started with an ion, then got a Bob long then moved up to a Dm11. How much cash you looking to spend?
