Try delta force mate
@xanthiax wants to play more often without paying punter prices

@Reece bruton
Delta force are a large corporate punter paintball company, own gunners wishing to use their own gear must use site co2 cylinders and pay the same punter prices

However I am aware that there is one site in the uk that opened true walkons last year.

Can you confirm which delta force sites in the Birmingham area provide air fills and offer walkon prices, whether the site you work at does, and if possible identify any others

Don't loose heart; as other posters have said, walk-ons are your way forward.

Whilst you may feel that the costs are similar you get a lot more than just more paint for your money at a walk-on than you get at a pure "punter" day.

Don't underestimate the benefit of meeting and playing with like-minded enthusiasts; this really is a community and the people you will meet at walk-ons will at the very least offer you advice, help with your kit setup (if something goes wrong with your kit for example). They may have kit for sale that you can take a look at; and will be able to tell you other sites and events they visit to keep you playing and in the game.

Of course the biggest benefit at walk-ons is that the other players will have some paintball playing experience so they are far more challenging to play against; far more fun to play alongside and far more useful to learn from....

I've heard of a site up near Stafford (unreal paintball in Madely) that run a monthly walk-on that may not be too far away for you; last I heard they were £45.00 to play (and included 2000 balls) but I have never been.

Good luck, keep at it
:)

Last time I played at a Delta Force site (Work do), they wouldnt let me use my own marker for "Heath and Safety" reasons. There is no way they can control what you do with your kit, so theory you could chrono and then adjust your marker to shoot over 300 fps (they cap at 240 iirc).

I wanted to use a pump rather than a semi, but they were really not keen. If there is a site that will let you, then thats good. But like said their prices are very high on a punter day. Stumbled on a site which was more expensive than the average walk on and you got 1/2 the amount of paint.

To the OP, you have some good options offered up by others. The other thing to do if you dont have your own transport is to ask around and see if anyone is heading from your way and if you can get a lift for some petrol money. You may find a future buddy to go balling with. My brother and I ended up chatting to a neighbor once after he heard the marker fire in the garden and we all ended up going to loads of events together (6 of us rocking up at each event was a blast).

Sounds like people who don't know what they are talking about.
Different managers can decide for themselves, but the general DF policy is to use their cylinder andavoid electro guns
With regard to changing velocity etc, that's why in tournaments it's against the rules to carry tools, and anywhere else anybody could change the velocity at anytime
However it is obvious when someone is firing at a different velocity, the only other factor that can make a paintball fly 'better' is consistency
If someone adjusts without their knowledge then the Marshall's should easily spot this, rechrono you and throw you out

Didn't know they had any say in how the site runs. I get the idea of avoiding electros I get, but a pump gun where I wanted to use their cylinder I didnt.

Wasnt the end of the world, played the day with their gear anyway.
