IT seems a bit silly that everyone asking if he might be interested in something has to upload pictures to inquire. As I wasn't aware of this can i ask the ban be wavered
The rules are there for the protection of everyone regardless if you think they are silly.

You were asked to read and follow the rules previously, clearly you didn't as you would have been aware.

Like i said, previously i was aware, just doing it on an iPad is awkward. No, I didn't read the rules because normally they're all the same and sensible.

Now time for my sarcasm:

Nice to see the mods here are reasonable and friendly....

Make your mind up, you either were aware or you wasn't?

Hope you have a nice time with your 7days off..........friendly enough for you?

The key word there is previously. I was aware a new thread needed them, as i said it's the same on most other forums, not inquiries about trades.

I just don't see why you can't just PM a new member and give them a chance, it's easier that then to do a ban on most forums! That wasn't even the case before, you just deleted it.

And with regards to the friendliness, i'm just shocked people use this forum if all the mods are like this. I ran a forum for 5 years and sold it, there's ways you can keep things in order with being pompous.

@Bowerz ... you may feel you have a valid point, but rules are rules. Your failure is your responsibility, no-one else is accountable. I would suggest acknowledging and accepting the penalty or it could be a slippery slope!

You were asked before, see your profile post!

I asked you politely to read and follow the forum rules, you didn't, your fault!

You are not banned from the forum, just had your classified access removed for 7days.

Go start another then and make your own rules.

Banned for a month, use the time wisely or next one is permanent.

Guys,is this not a bit harsh?
I've had the same problem with threads being removed in the offered / wanted section.
I use an iPad for forum browsing and its a right pain to take / upload a photo to photobucket with slow Welsh broadband, when you are just responding to an advert,to see if people are interested.
I responded to an advert once by saying
" I've got one,ill post photos if you are interested" I waited for a response, but got nothing ,which I thought was a bit rude, its only when I checked back and found my reply had been deleted!
As you can imagine I was a bit miffed.and informed Foot.
If people are interested in what you are offering then of course you should provide a proof picture ,named and dated.
If you are selling then of course the rules apply.
I think it just drives people to PM and then back to forum to conclude the deal.
I know I'm not a mod and haven't had to deal with fraudulent activity.
But in my experience, every one I have dealt with on this forum has been beyond reproach.
I'm on the forum at least twice a day and read most threads.
Dusty I know you frequent British Blades, they have good rules in the sales section, they try to run it like a gentleman's club.
I'm just expressing my opinion .
Please don't ban me!
