I've literally just had the idea of getting into going paintballing for some sort of team regularly, and having done it once or twice and really enjoyed it, think it'd be awesome.
Anywho, I've googled around a bit and can only find sites where you can't bring your own paintballs, they seem to be funny about you're own equipment, meaning you have to hire theirs, costing like £30-£40 a pop, which I just can't afford. And these sites seem to be more like a 'party destination' rather than something I'd go to on a weekly basis.
So basically, how do you get into this sport while remaining able to purchase food?

By the way, I'm a student based in the UK, Liverpool, any recommendation of any sites around here'd be most welcome.

Firstly hello mate.

30-40 is a very reasonable price for playing mate.. Even if you buy your own paint, once you factor in entry you will be spending simmilar..
If you ever play tourney you will spend much much more..

To be fair it will be worth saving the money and playing when you can because 30-40 is a very cheap price for a days paintballing

hey man,

I'm a bit in your position, I'm new to the country and the scene. I suggest you try different places and talk to the players you can get along with, specially the experienced ones as most of them will be able to make recommendations for different places.

cheers!
