Would it be possible to have a chat sort of like facebooks where is can be up in the bottom corner whilst im searching through the forums, because im not a big fan of having to try and find the post i was in and the page because i had to go to another page to write a message back to someone?

i know i can do that but im just saying it could make it more fluid but i guess there is always just getting another tab open

If we do that, no-one will use the forum.

Plus we would need to mod it "live" and well, we all have actual jobs! It would basically turn into a buy/sell/trade facebook page, and we wouldnt be able to Police it as much as is deserved, putting you all at risk.
