How are you going to dye a lens?

Well I assume it's like dyeing any other plastic, just make up a bucket of Dye and dip/soak until you get the tint you desire.
But I'm not sure if the dye will take to lenses.

Can't imagine the dye taking to the lens, however I could be wrong, would be cool though!
