They may not be recruiting at the moment, but if they do you want to be early on the list. If the amount of jobs in an industry are limited then if you're lucky enough to see an advert there will be a queue in front of you

I know chris lacey from lips have known him since i was a kid just havent seen or spoke to him in years so dont want to get in contact with him again on the strength hopefully getting a job lool i would feel rude i suppose thanks for the advice dude

It does mean that either you are half way there to get a job - or he will absolutely never employ you!
