Guns & goggles:
The key here is instant maintenance. For the great majority of sites you will see two different choices of marker. Both are hardy and easily maintained in bulk, it goes down to choice by the site management

Lens fogging:
The worst thing that affects any anti fogging system is interfering with it, no matter what the quality of lens the moment you go and use something more than water you instantly degrade any anti fogging. With hundreds of customers this happens quickly
Sites to for the basic goggles which are easily changed when required, provide water and cloths for players, and often provide anti fogging wipes etc.
As an individual buy cheap goggles and look after them and you'll still have good visibility

Overalls etc are a matter of cleaning and disposability.
I didn't wear site overalls when I started. I would just wear my clothes, and have something clean to change into
The average customer won't change to site clothing and will wear overalls on top
Sites can get disposable overalls to let the customer have clothes that have never been worn

These all come at a cost, buy & dispose (generating waste which is an evil word to businesses) or buy, clean and eventually replace
Reduce, reuse, recycle

You have put in good thought, and though you have the spare time it is better put to use in changing and improving a site. Sites that remain the same become stagnant, instead of just maintaining a site keep changing or expanding it. This gives repeat customers new experiences and they keep coming back for more in the long term

All the extra little odds and sods on goggles will be DESTROYED in weeks and cost several times more to replace - not only that, but punters will not realise they are getting better goggles!
A lot of sites are not using thermal goggles, but soft faceplates etc are just not needed in punter games.

Same with markers - a lot of sites use the BT Combat / T98 base marker (or inferno for some) and offer an upgraded option. And clothing - even cheap proper playing gear is expensive compared to camo overalls - which punters will actually prefer as they are camo!

"Get expensive goggles and markers for punters? Why didn't we think of that!?"

- no paintball site ever
if you count a Combat as expensive, dare i ask what you count an Etek or an ego etc. :ROFLMAO:

can understand what your saying :) especially with the googles. the goggles ive chosen seemed to work well on one site down my end and they had hardly any wear (owner was extremely prod of the fact, too bad it didnt transfer to the markers :/)

Marker wise, im trying to offer a broad range for new players to enjoy with the upgrade being what its meant to be. There have been a few sites ive played on that offer a 98 as a basic marker and offer a bravo one for an upgrade. to me, that really isnt an upgrade as they are practically the same marker but with a body kit.

This is the key for a good site, and does not have to cost any money
It can be as simple as looking around and cutting a tunnel or path through a bush, collecting recyclables and making new barricades, building when you have a few materials

Farms are useful for materials as one part of the farm is upgraded spare new materials or what has been replaced can be available
Some items can bring other concerns, eg tyres are a bit of a problem to get rid of and their condition is vital - if worn badly they could be down to wires. Pallets are a good source of wood, but if broken they are spikey, they have big nasty nails. If the wood is not broken then they are still an issue as someone will break it running into it or standing on it. Dismantle pallets and use them for materials unsigned screws to build. Barrels etc are great but consider what they contained before and if metal oil drums consider rust and sharp edges
