so I did the 20 messages so I could start buying things, wet offline, came back today and my slate has been wiped clean. Why?

With all due respect, I think it may be the fact that you have admitted to posting simply to gain access to the classifieds and have posted in rapid succession to get that access.
As said above, a mod will be along to clarify. But why not have a read through the classified rules and the additional thread that meant these rules being brought into effect.
