Just noticed this...

Hi guys. I just stripped down my DM7 and noticed this on the bottom of the body...

Does anybody know what this means? I've owned this gun from new and it's a little worrying to see an "F" followed by a council looking serial number. It doesn't mean "fail" does it? If so how could this of ever reached a customer?

Can anyone help?

I doubt it means fail. An f stamped marker means it can be used in Germany

Surely the stamp is more official and visible than that? I could scribble that on there

It could have failed initial quality inspection, been fixed in the factory, and given that number for future reference, in case it ****s up at a later date

Yeah i spoke to Dye and they seem to think the same. They said it was probably because of a blemish in the anno, so it gets reannoed and renumbered by hand.

Nope...the F stamp for germany must be externally visable
