empire axe regulator problem

just got my brand new axe in and this was the first time testing it, when i went to gas it up the regulator was gushing air out of the bottom of the regulator, i think its gushing out air as the regulators over pressurised but i didn't tamper with it at all, and even if the pressure is too high i cant get it to gas up to adjust it so any suggestions fro anyone need this fixed before next sunday

Hi mate, I`m hoping I can help you on this, first of all I`m sure you`ve had a look inside the grips just to make sure where the air is coming from, if it`s coming as you say from the bottom of the reg from the flip lever area, you need to hold down the lever and unscrew it from the oops, now be careful as underneath that lever is a plunger and a thin spring, DO NOT LOSE THIS , this plunger that has the spring to make it move up and down could be stuck, which makes the lever useless when you air up, just clean that plunger and lube it, then put it back the correct way round ( there is a right and wrong way round ) take note when holding down that lever ( it may spring into the air) bugger to find it !! .. thanks bluey i will try that and see if that fixes my problem. ill let you know how i get on

If it's the regulator pressure set too high, is it possible to screw the regulator adjuster all the way in before you gas up, and then increase the pressure to a suitable level?

already tried putting the pressure down but it still wont gas up just keeps gushing air

If it is brand new, call up where you got it from, and ask for their opinion. If you screw up what is an easy fix by taking off bits here and there, the shop may not be obliged to honour any warranty.

Bolter is right.

Voice any concerns with your retailer ASAP, they will be in a much better position to offer you an exchange or free repair if you haven't stripped the regulator.

I took my Axe out of the box while still on site after buying it, tried to remove the bolt guide and it wouldn't budge. Hadn't even aired up or anything. The air transfer safety bolt had been incorrectly assembled in the locked "safe" position meaning wether the marker was aired up or not it was locked in place which prevented the bolt engine from being removed... A tech at the site stripped it down, sorted the problem, cleaned, lubed and re-assembled in half an hour. Result = Happy Medic

i didnt dare go mear the regulator just did general things but im calling lips up tommorow to see what they can do as need a gun for next weekend
