This all looks good for my PC, but I use Tapatalk on my iphone. Will I now be able to access the site better via safari or will these changes still work and apply via tapatalk ??

Yes, Responsive Design means it will be scalable for mobiles and tablets. However, Tapatalk won't be affected unless they make their own improvements...
