Classifieds Update - Important Information

We all abide the rules whether we like them or not, I think the ideas you've mentioned and I've previously suggested of having the classifieds 'private or unseen' until the required post count is achieved is a good idea.

Stops people drooling but left angry and frustrated at not being able to buy

At the point where i joined on friday with a 10 post limit... then just before the mark its put up to 20! I know its coincidental and was not aimed at me but it was a kick in the teeth, and i thought forums were to allow people to air there opinions, so because I'm new to this forum im not allowed an opinion on how its run??? I mean your acting as if ive committed some horrible crime just because ive aired that im unhappy about being forced to talk about things ive no idea about! when infact all that was needed was a little understanding as to my point of view, but instead we get attacked by members not in our situation!

Id prefer not being able to see the classifieds untill i reach the message count... as I wouldnt have known all the stuff i missed out on because of the message count going up just before i was able to use them!

If you wish to use the classifieds there are requirements. like it or lump it, that is not going to change, unless of course you would rather see a free for all classifieds with no backup from the Mods and the forum owner.

At the minute, we're taking someone to court for scamming on here. Find me another forum which will do that for any member. Any forum.

The rules are there, i don't particularly care whether you agree with them or not. They aren't going to change based on your say so. You are of course entitled to your opinion but don't mix that up with the idea of free speech. This forum is not a democracy, you being here is not your right it is our discretion and we will always ask the question

I have no problem with your opinion. None. However, you should remember that the rules are there for your protection and everyone elses. If YOU don't like the rules, feel free to use another forum.

Soooo... what did i do?!?! i got on with it, and to be honest without this thread i would have probably still bin stuck on 5posts, but as it happens, this has actually helped me out quite alot!

I have no further issues to discuss regarding the change to the count limit.. so can we leave it there Dusty?

Dusty got a lot of verbal abuse from one of the members who was scamming people. He's passionate about us and the forum. I don't think he's trying to come across as he's being funny. He's just sick of all the idiots mistreating the classifieds

And i owe you Dusty an apology, I understand better your point of view and appreciate what you & your fellow admins do for this forum! As i have had very little to do with this forum my (if you want) childish approach to what has been understood by myself and the way I've come across must seem really... well childish! lol

but no i totally agree with what you are doing and what you are saying... I guess im just abit naive when it comes to buying things off of a forum! As i literally have Zero experience!
