From what I've seen most people have rotors seen some good reviews of the virtue spire wondering if people thought this is a good alternative or should I just stick to a rotor?

If you genuinly have money to play and buy a new hopper, I would recommend the Spire. Sold my Rotor a while back for a Z2 as the Rotor was really prone to jamming with training paint - The Spire hasn't jammed on me since I have started using it 2 months ago.

If you don't really have the money to spend on a new hopper and to play at the same time, just stick with the Rotor. Playing is much more important at this point as you already own the kit to play.

You can alternativly see if anyone would want to do a straight swap for your Rotor. You never know!

You'll be happy with either mate.

There's often threads like this...
99% of people are happy with their choice of either a spire or a rotor. You'll get some people with problems with their rotor and some with their spire or Prophecy Z2 but these tend to be a minority.

Go with whatever you can get cheapest really. If you go for a rotor however, try to get a 'gen 3' which incorporates a 'shark fin' piece which aids in anti jam as well as velcro straps, which are absent on earlier models. Those gen 1 and 2's aren't bad by any means, but if possible try to get a gen 3.

I also echo Simmershot's advise on play as much as you can and get as good as you can, so grab whatever you can get cheap (recommend the 2nd hand market on here!).

I prefer the z2 over the rotor for the design. You can remove the nose easier & get at the batteries, empty a broken pod or swap speed feed for lid if it rains easier.

Otherwise they all perform exactly the same IF YOU CHANGE THE BATTERIES
