Ego 9 eyes turning off

So whenever I fire even a single ball through my Ego 9 the eyes turn off and won't turn back on, so won't stick to the ramping ROF cap.
It also seems to permanently register a ball there when turned on for first time when breach is empty.

I've thoroughly cleaned the eyes and the chamber to no avail and checked the connection to the board, it's fine. Do I need new eyes or is this the board? Or am I best off sending it off to Eclipse and letting them take a closer look at it?

Are the eyes sitting correctly?

Reason I ask is that I had the same issue with some virtue eyes, when the eye covers pushed one of the sensors out of place it constantly showed a ball in the breach

I believe so, they don't exactly hold very well in place until I screw on the caps, the eye ends are square but the groves round the socket are rounded, if that makes sense?

has this just started happening or is it a recurring problem?
My first port of call would be a new battery first or ensure that the eyes are in correctly (Red Side - Right, Black side -Left)

It's been doing it every time used for a few months now, new battery several times so I know it's not that.

Is there any one close by who has an ego/etek you can swap the eyes over with?

The only guy nearby just sold his Ego 11 in favour of a Geo 3, will that do?

Yeah, all Ego/Etek eyes are the same.
