Lovely smooth awesome gun, so quiet it's untrue!!!! Am having a hell of a job trying to tune it in though :(

followed the guide here, set rear solenoid to 7 and front solenoid to 5, but even with the sl4 reg wound right out, I couldn't get the fps over about 260. Consistency was all over the shop, first shop drop off was getting on for 50fps low. Put the front solenoid to 6 and things improved but had no chance of adjusting either the dwell or the lpr as fps dropped off by 15 ish as soon as either was touched.

I didn't have the time or know how to experiment fully to get it all working sweet as a nut. So I'm wondering a few things, if anyone has any experience and can help I'd be grateful.

1. This marker is brand spanking new, it's the first new one I've had and I'm not sure how much the "breaking in" period can affect things..? It's had about a case of 2000 through it now.

2. My fibre tank is in for hydro at the moment so I was using a Pure Energy 0.8 3000psi steely tank. Given the quality of the inline and lp regs on the LV1 does the quality of the tank reg have a huge impact on the consistency of the marker..? I'm having a ninja reg set to 550psi fitted to my fiber tank whe it's hydro'd and wonder if that will improve things.

The paint we were using was Diablo heat, temperature was around 13-14 degrees centigrade and paint was matched to .684 bore

I am well happy with how the marker feels when it shoots, I just want it to shoot 280 - 290 fps every shot.

Ay ideas or help please..?

At a guess I would look at your tank and tank reg, without even trying on mine I would never run a low pressure reg anyway, I use ninja/gorilla bottles and regs @ 800psi. Might be worth just trying that first. I know the older EGO's didnt really like low pressure regs at high paint velocity. I know this is a different beast but I would try different reg/bottle first.

Just out of interest I guess the dwell settings were stock to start off with?

Stock dwell 16.8ms

The tank I was using today was HP cheap steel tank, The tank ill be using full time will be 550psi Ninja reg on a 1.1l 4500psi fiber

I was told specifically to set it to 550 psi as that's what egos like to eat for dinner the most....

Hmmm. I was going to suggest that you check the orientation of the cam lever. It should be placed with the side that curves out at the bottom, facing towards the exhaust valve.

Magic_Ernie I always change the battery first, no matter what the meter says. The ninja reg running at 550psi will be fine, I run my ego 11 etek and geo 3 off ninja regs running this pressure. When you get your normal tank back try that to see if the velocity improves.

I'm using a fuel 1.2l bottle with a slp ninja reg with no problems. You should be breaking in the gun before tuning the dwell. Mines just hit 10k and is about ready for tuning.

The parts that can be removed without tools have been taken off and put back on again, I.e the inline and lpr reg, but none of the parts were further dismantled, they all stayed in the form that they come off..
Can you confirm what the battery indicator is showing? Also it would be useful to know the serial number of your marker, colour scheme and confirmation that you have registered it for warranty via: https://warranty.planeteclipse.com/
Thanks,
