Ego 11 not firing properly.

Hi guys,

Thought I would post up before I make a hash of trying to fix something I don't understand.

My Ego 11 has started to not fire and instead when I pull the trigger there is a slight 'puff' of air but nothing really happens. If I keep pulling the trigger it will gradually start to move the bolt and get a bit louder but nowhere near what it should be.

Has anybody had any issues like this in the past and does anybody have any idea what it could be?

Cheers,

Rich

The first thing I would do is change the battery with a brand new branded one. Even if the battery meter is showing full.

Hi Rich,

I don't know anything about you, so forgive me if I suggest the obvious...

1. Put in a few brand new 9v batteries - proper Duracel or Energizer ones - not unbranded ones.
2. Reset board to factory settings.
3. Ensure the breach area is clear of debris.
4. When was the marker last serviced? If you haven't done it, strip and clean the HPR and LPR and re-oil the rammer.
5. When aired up, how easy is it to push the bolt forward with your finger?
6. Reset the HPR and LPR. LRP = 2 full turns in from flush. HPR = turn the Adjuster Screw counterclockwise until is stops at the base of the Inline Regulator. Then turn the Adjuster Screw back in 4 turns to set an Inline Regulator output pressure that will not damage the marker when it is ‘gassed up’.
7. Reset the Solenoid Flow Restrictors to 5/7 which is default.

TRY SOME FRESH HIGH QUALITY 9V BATTERIES.

:)

Don't worry about suggesting the obvious, your already suggesting good things to try!

I have lubed the HPR and rammer but will get cracking on the LPR now. I didn't reset the board to factory but shall do. I have put in a few procells but they have been lying around for ages in a box of 10. The screen says the battery is full but if this may not necessarily mean the battery is in good nick, as suggested by frenchy, I'll pop down the shop and get a brand spanking new one.

Aloha.
Some sound advice from wildwayz there.

if when you pull the trigger the screen dims its a battery issue

If i may ask, what did you do before the problem occurred?
