You can contact Kerry NPF Ops Manager on 0121 323 1000. She'll happily answer any questions you have about the festival, but I'll certainly help if I can :)

Parking is on the camp site, which is known as the Paintfest field at the very bottom of NPF's 200 acres. Depending on the spawn positions for the two factions, one will have a long walk to stage and the other team won't have to walk very far.

With regards to paint, event paint only (as are most) will be available from all the usual suspects. I would imagine there will be some great deals on offer for bulk buys and team deals starting as low as £20 a case and going up to £30-£32 for the higher end stuff. If you're clinically insane go for Dye CG at £55 a box, but expect to be killing nothing but grass and twigs.

First Strikes are usually available at around £35/100, with the ever increasing popularity of mag-fed, it's only a good thing that the price on demand of these awesome paintball rounds will drop as they become more commonplace.

Rental kit is available, but as there are limited places you may be hard pressed to find a rental marker if you get into problems.

This is where the angels that are the gun techs come in handy. I'm certain Tippmamn, Planet and Dye will have some sort of tech presence at Paintfest so will possibly cater for most issues. If you're still struggling, ask around on your faction, people usually carry a backup. If you're a trusty type, they might offer you a loan.

NPF may have a reserve of emergency rentals, on top of the rental kit that will already be loaned out, so it's worth asking Kerry just in case.

Another good day, another win by the USDE!

Enjoyed that for the most part, although I did get shot by the hottest 270fps gun from a good 50 metres away leaving a golfball welt on my forehead. Hmmmm. Whatever gun that was, please tell me as I'm buying one.

One thing that did disappoint me is when you sneak up behind 5 HMC and shoot them all once in the back each, they turn around and start shooting, then get arsy when you return fire. If you are out, put your hand up and walk off. I wish I had my head cam on because the attitude displayed at the end of the game was shocking IMHO. We are all there to have fun, I personally am covered in bruises all across my back where I get shot out, put my hand up turn around to walk and I'm still being shot in the back. I'm not going to stoop to that level, but if I shoot someone out and they turn around and start firing back, then I will be aiming my gun at you.

Hopefully the attitude from some of the cannon fodder will be a bit better next month.

Shame you had a bad time El D, I got shot out a few time by HMC and to be honest they backed right off after the hit/s received (so big thanks!) I got ambushed a couple of times and I would have really been battered otherwise... Had a good day, lots of bruises lol well played HMC it was nice to have some good battles.

Good day today, highlight was when I came across two hmc straddling one another about 6 metres in front of me, (god knows how they didn't see me) put about 4 into each(bit of a shock, caught me by suprise) , next thing you know, one starts firing at me, ramp kicked in, all missed, as this was happening I shot him a good 10 15 times more, poor chaps gonna be stinging tonight.

Overall, I had a good time - it was just really frustrating and then to be hurled abuse at for their blatant cheating wasn't cool. I had some good fair shoot outs for most of the day and even respect for decent shots being given. There were just one or two individuals need to calm down.

This was really helpful mate, thanks.
Best time to arrive? Is the campsite open Thursday this year as the Friday does consists of gameplay and activities?

I'm not sure the site is open from Thursday, not for players at least.

As far as I know, the site will be open from 7am on the Friday morning...

Failing that, give Kerry a call and ask the question.

They'll happily answer any that I'm not sure on :)
