Goggle stickers

Chatting to a guy at the Southern Masters on Sunday and he informs me that goggle stickers are now, or soon becoming, banned items.

The ones that go all the way around the outside of the lenses.

I've had a look about and can't see anything about this so maybe someone here can shed some light as to the accuracy of this statement....???

Any form of goggle modification is technically banned. However how many millennium players do you see with intact chin straps?

2013:
Rule 10.09 has been amended to allow stickers to be placed on goggle systems subject to protected colour rules and subject to safety issues with reference to visual criteria. Stickers that are designed to tear of easily will still be banned.

Not that they've bothered updating the rulebook itself, which still dates from 2006!

hnmm I'm having to change the straps on my mask complete to work with hearing aid, which is technically a omdification etc, does this mean I can't play Mills?

that was my point.

There is essentially no rule book, and there is no motivation for them to create one because that would empower players, so players would know exactly where they stand on things. Inturn this would then require a consistency in how the rules were applied.

As it is now the Millennium series can pretty much make any calls they want in any way, even if it differs from previous precedents because no one has a clue which way the call is actually meant to go.

Keep people ignorant of the rules so they can't complain that they're constantly being changed depending on the marshals you have and what mood they're in.
