Ok fellas, direct quote from the Optimus (original Mini board) manual...

KEE said:
Semi-auto/NPPL (1 Flash) One shot per trigger pull. Max ROF capped at 20bps

MeDiC said:
This appears to be set in stone, ROF can only be capped or adjusted in modes 2 through 4
Note : After modes 2 through 4 are selected, it is possible to alter the max ROF and Ramp settings to allow for tournament rule changes.

Not tried it, but I had the same issue with my mini. Perhaps upping the eye delay/ or another factor may limit enough?

Option B, which I used in an emergency on a mate's mini is to chuck a gravity feed hopper like a proto primo on it, which won't feed past 10 bps

its a good idea but to get it to do 10bps you would need a delay of 100ms and it only goes up to 40. good effort though :p
tbh it's just a small tournament and the guy that's going to be using it hasn't ever used a tourney marker so i think if its set to ramping it won't be too much of an issue :)

Does the shockwave board offer the ability to change the ROF for semi auto?

still have stock in mine so no idea. I havent ever changed anything either though...

If the shockwave can change ROF for semi then its approx. £30 (maybe more than you want to pay in this situation)

Wait for advice on that from others though. I know the shockwave offers a few improvements but whether that is one of them or not im not sure.

I'm on it, I have the shock wave board in my Axe so I'll check it out.

A mini I used to own has the Tadao board which 100% allows capping to low bps in true semi...

I believe they are around the same price as the shock wave but the Tadao board for Mini/Axe are a lot harder to come by, KEE released the shockwave as a rolling update, the software enables modes to be changed without opening the foregrip...

Edit : The shock wave board allows you to change the max ROF after you've switched firing modes and it remembers the ROF for each mode. So, for example, if you cap semi to 10bps, then switch to PSP at 12.5bps the max ROF will switch mode dependent... Hope that makes sense :)

thanks for double checking. Thought it did but nothing worse than posting inaccurate info

on another note Liam, the shockwave (i assume tadao too) save settings unlike the optimus that loves deleting everything when you change battery. if your happy to spend the dough then its worth while.

sounds like a plan ;)

its an investment i have been tempted to make but avoided on the basis that my mini doesn't see tournament fields at all at the moment. I have only ever played woodsball and whilst I'm still at uni finishing my degree...it will stay that way
