Got a spare invert mini i'm loaning to a friend for a 10.5 Semi tournament. I've definitely got the max ROF set at 10.5 (1 flash) and it does this fine on ramping (mode 4). but as soon as i change to semi it shoots a lot faster, but when i check the max ROF after changing firing modes its still 10.5.

Does the firing mode 1 (semi/nppl) only work like true nppl up to 15bps or can it be capped?

EDIT: While i'm at it, i noticed that the trigger bounces quite easily so it's firing if it gets a knock to the back of the tank. But the trigger adjustment screws only adjust pre/post travel and activation point as far as i can figure from the manual. any suggestions to stop this?

Sounds like it might be set to uncapped semi...

What board do you have in it ?

As for the trigger, it might be best to back off the activation point. It sounds like you've got it on a hair trigger. It'll bounce like crazy and if you adjust the debounce to compensate too much, the rof will drop...

It's not actually mine but as far as i can tell it's just the bog standard original mini board. It's already been reset and has a brand new procell in it but i'll maybe give that another bash and set it again. Although i'm able to set the BPS and firing mode easily enough, it seems like they just don't want to work together on that particular mode. its fine on ramping which is the annoying part!

Well i'm screwing the activation screw as far in as i can before it stops working (later activation point) and screwing the pre travel screw out (more pre travel) to try and increase the distance so that if it bounces a little it shouldn't activate. no luck. how would you recommend setting it up?

Take care with the activation point screw... It can ruin the hall effect sensor which will require you to buys new board.

With the mini trigger, it's down to personal preference of how you set it up. There are some good tutes on YouTube with how people adjust the triggers...

The Axe trigger can be set up much the same, but it uses a micro switch as opposed to the HE sensor.

well i've taken the trigger frame off to get a look at what it's doing, and there's a tiny magnet just sitting on top of that activation screw, is that meant to be secured in any way?

Looking at the exploded view of the mini in the kee catalog, it looks like the adjuster screw with the magnet sitting on top is mean't to be a lot shorter than the pre travel screw. having taken them out they are both the same size...

never mind, turns out it had unscrewed and there was crap in the threads stopping it screwing back on to the adjuster screw. so scraped it out and put it back on and its firing again. i'm just going to leave it as it is for now because i got a hell of a lot of studying to do today and this has taken way more time than i planned!

Alright bud, glad you sorted it.

The magnet is meant to be attached to the grub screw. Earlier minis just had the magnet sitting there, more recently they've been glued to the grub screw.

With mine i cant cap the ROF when on semi. which is kinda annoying.
so i'm not alone, thank god! :p
is it an issue with earlier boards? the one i've got here is a dust olive which i believe are 2nd generation minis? don't know all that much about them tbh
