hello i have recently on two separate occasions experienced problems with my geo 3. it appears as if it does not like the cold. in an warm area i experience no problems, however outside at low temperatures the bolt doesnt seem to get any air. ive been advised by two registered planet techs to send it in and have it looked at. can you advise me as to how to do so please!

the only attempts they made to fix it was to up the dwell, change the battery and re-lube it. think its the solenoid.

Where is the BSC (dial on the side of the grip frame) set to? My Geo wouldn't shoot in the cold last week with it turned horizontal, but with it turned vertical it worked no problem.

Yeah it will be that. Last time I shot mine and it was very cold I turned up the sfr/bsc dial half way or fully open (anti-clockwise) and it was fine. Didn't need to touch the dwell.

set it all the way up as said pe techs were on the case and i dont think something like that would have slipped past them. but yes they did advise set all the way up. apparently and i may be misinformed on this but there have been a small spate of geo 3's with the same issue. but seizing up in the cold for a £1100 gun, i think may be a serious problem worth sending back to PE.

You are indeed misinformed on the above fact. Geo3's are used the world over in colder climates than the UK. With the correct set-up (good quality alkaline battery, correct lube and settings/position of dials) they work without issues. If you have a solenoid that is under-performing then that is a separate issue and as such we will ensure that gets sorted 100%. Please let us know when you are sending the marker in so we can get it turned round as quickly as possible for you.
