I recently sold an Angel A1 and the new owner has reported an issue, When gassed up the bolt goes forward and air leaks down the barrel.
Thats all the info i have at the moment.

Before i sent it i fired the gun using a mid pressure ninja pro reg'd bottle with no problems?

Please can someone with A1 knowledge chime in with some info on what the problem may be and how to resolve it.

Thanks

call Jon @ LiPS.

He is (was) the Angel Guru :)
Will be seeing him on sunday so if the issue is not resolved by then i will quiz him.

Just make sure the bolt is ALL the way back BEFORE putting air to it.

Even put finger in and give it a push.

Should fix it....

Thanks, i will ask him to try this.

Did they tell you if it was a hp or lp bottle? It happened to me hen i put a hp bottle on mime
Unsure, but does the A1 not run on both HP and LP?

Was there enough pressure in the bottle he used?
I have tagged him in to the post so whne he logs on and reads this thread i hope he can elaborate on the symptoms and on the type of bottle used.

Just pushing the bolt back first normally cures the problem.

What happens in that, usually, when you fire the last bit of air our once you have removed the tank to make the marker 'safe' (or before you remove the tank depending on how you do it), the bolt goes forward and there is not enough air to push it back.

Therfore, when attaching an air source, it just rushes out....

Somethimes, they are so loose that by tilting the marker back and forth you can hear the bolt sliding.

foot A1's are LP only... You can get away with a mid tank like the Guerrilla's ;D

You have to do the Mini-reg mod, or if it's an A1 without the minireg then you have to take the reg apart and change the shims... Maybe even the LPR shims as well depending on the pressures

Received a follow up mail.

hi .OK here we go . the marker was aired up from a mp bottle that was previously used on an angel a1 joy.
the breach seal was installed incorrectly and has be corrected . the breach pin was bent and has been corrected. all of the o rings have been changed . the accessible o rings on the ram have been changed . the gun still has an internal leak.

Last thing I'd try would be a valve stem and a drop of oil or three. Internal leak? small hiss, large hiss, catastrophic failure???? Could be the ram needs replacing but we need more info.
