I found that out to my peril, site mask easily fogged up!

Thanks for the advice. After the mask the long save for a marker will begin :D

Hello mate and welcome!
On the marker front I reccomend an Etek or Etek 2, should both fall well within your price range. Easy to maintain, British and spares and servicing are easily arranged!
But Kevin Winter is right, save enough for a decent mask!

yeah like the other have said a good mask is key ive a couple of pairs of events and think there the nuts, comfy and look quite mean too, can get second hand events for around the £40-£50 mark on here which is cheaper than the £80-odd ive seen them for sale brand new online but with brand new least you get them in the colours you want and replacement/diff coulour lenses are around the £20-£25 mark

Definitely go for a mini. Got one myself and they're brilliant markers. Have a chat with Mercog on here, he normally has a couple going for about £140-150 which should leave you enough to get a good mask :)

Mini's are very good much better value than the price suggests, there are 4 top tips to get the best out of them, there are 3 small o rings on the power tube the bolt slides back & forward on, these need to be tight enough that the bolt doesn't drop off if you pick the assembly up by the bolt.
There are also 2 larger o rings on the outside of the bolt, these should be fairly tight in the body (put the bolt in backwards to check) & buy yourself some "über lube" spray grease from a Kee action sports retailer, it is the best lube for them no question.
The last is use Duracell 9v batteries, cheaper/rechargeable batteries make them break paint
I shot one for 2 years,

Thank you very much buddy, I will have to have a look at it when I receive it.
I also got a Reloader B thrown in with it, I'm guessing this is capable of feeding the mini fine? (not that clued up on hoppers at the moment!)

Yep it's not as gentle as some of the more expensive loaders but as long as you don't skimp on batteries it won't let you down, take it to an event with an empire tech stand & they will put the newest software on it for a drink (there is b1 b2 & b3 versions) I can't remember which flashes do what though off hand but they are, speed, sensitivity & a third setting I forget :)
