regulator lock screw stripped

hi guys,i just picked up a 05' shocker sft.i screw in the tank and air leaks crazy out of the regulator set screw.so i went to tighten it and noticed it was really stripped.i mean the actually hole its screws into on the reg.not sure if its fixable/worth fixing or if a new reg is mandatory,thx for the info guys.

Can you post a pic up of where it is leaking? Also what sort of reg is it? Is It standard shocker reg?

Looks like one of the orings on poppet guide either side of the set screw may be damaged

mind you if the body thread is stripped the reg could be junk

apprecitate it gee,well i loc tite the hell out of it and the leak stop about 95% im just tryna find a more permanent seal.reall would hate to get a new reg since i was so happy i got the gun for $140 lol,but i think u might be right.one question guys pretty dumb but how do i disconnect the reg from the gun.does it unscrew?is there a bolt or screw.i tried to twist it but it was tight as hell.thx guys

It will unscrew the split is just above the set screw. The top mounting will stay on marker. That is bolted on. Which you can get to once rest of reg is off. Then take set screw out and unscrew poppet guide from out housing. If you look at top pic on link i gave you. it shows just the reg.
