Burst Disk advice

Hi all,

Played all day with a 3K 48CU 'Pure Energy' tank, filling it up all day with it attached to the gun, and it was fine.

Then unscrewed it from the gun at day's end and filled it to about 2K. Left it on a table, and for no apparent reason, a burst disk went. I'm pretty sure it was the 1.8K burst disk that went, as the only other one says on it '5K', but basically, I'm not really sure what to do now, as this has never happened to me before.

Help is much appreciated!

Remove the ruptured burst disc and replace it, would always recommend replacing both at the same time.

Ok cool thanks, I will get it looked at by Lips or someone qualified, as I've no idea what I'm doing with air systems.

It says on the bottle to 'Only use PMI manucatured burst disks' blah blah blah... are burst disks not a universal fit for all tanks?

Can anyone explain to me why the 1.8K disk would have burst please? I had unscrewed it from the gun ASA and onlyfilled it to2K when it blew.

A little info on the link as below.

It could just blow, however it could also be small contamination
If you don't already have one get a nipple cover.
You could replace the burst disk yourself, but its best done by a techie especially if they can check out/service the regulator for you
