Barrell Cam

Been seeing a lot of barrel cam footage poping up recently and was wondering who owns one and what brands are the best for race to 4?

I personally want to use one during training, upload them online and then watch them back to assess my days play and then use it as a training tool to see when im not capitalising on opportunities, etc.

Does anyone else do this?

Can anyone recommend me a few retailers? or does anyone have a good quality, light, reliable cam they are selling?

It depends if you want it on you mask or you marker mate

I have a Go-Pro that I have used on my Barrel and with the head strap on my head, works quite well. I have also purchased a chest strap but have not used this for Paintball.

A team mate has a small bullet like camera (Dont know the make or model) but this works quite well.

I want one for my barrel, hense the thread title. It would need to be pretty small, ive seen some cylindrical shaped ones that people duck tape to their markers... this would be the ones im after.

Anyone recommend any brands?

The Contours are 'bullet' shaped, Go Pros are box shaped, so you could find them bulky
Both have wide angle lenses to let you see whats going on around you.

Head mounting (on your goggles will give you a general point of view. Barrel mounting will show you where your barrel is pointing, so could see a lot of grass, sky, grass - especialy if you are inclined to run around and dive etc)

All of the above will suit your needs for training & re-assesment, but also give you publishable footage

You can also look around for 'bullet cameras', e.g. as linked below, but do make sure they are all in one, e.g. camera and memory card. You can get some at much cheaper prices but that is due to lower quality/less pixels etc.
