hi guys, got a quick one for u, my 1.1L 4500psi and when i get it filled, the gauge will never show that, even though the fill stations im filling off will show 4500psi, my tank will never show that, just wondering would it be a gauge problem on my tank or the reg on my tank, I fill the rest of my teams tanks off same fill station, and all read 4500psi or there about, any help would be great

cheers guys

Probably the gauge

Does it move at all? Does it move to a consistent but wrong reading?

Easiest answeer is probably to replace the gauge.

If unsure then don't do it yourself.
Buy a replacement, drain the air
Unscrew the gauge, taking care to not damage threads and to not let anything be left behind or get inside
Check threads are clear
Fit a new gauge (With sealant *see below)
Refill & check for leaks

* Note - check the new gauge threads for a light coating of thread sealant/thread lock, which may be in place with some new gauges. If so then screw in the gauge firmly.
If not already present then wrap a small amount of PTFE tape on the threads, (same type as used in plumbing), take care not to leave an excess beyond the thread that could come away inside the cylinder and potentialy get into the regulator.
If you wish you can use a liquid thread lock such as Loctite, however this will secure the gauge and make it more difficult to remove at a later date should there be further issues

Is this after it's 'settled?' After you fill a bottle and then let it cool, the pressure will often drop by a few 100 psi.

Is it s true 4.5k fill station you're using.

As Tommikka said try a new gauge, but what he missed was use some PTFE or proper type sealant lock on the threads before fitting to stop leaks

Check to see what pressure other peoples bottles are filling to on the same rig

If your one is reading consistently low it's probably knackered and needs replacing
