What we used to do was get all our coats, line them up on the floor against a wall / corner, then brush them into that so they don't bounce off the wall and just get caught in the material. It's not a perfect solution as a lot of the reballs bounce off each other anyway, but it's easier than getting everyone picking them up whilst they're scattered around the hall.

Probably going to make a big mess and get nowhere to be honest :p But as it's a smooth surface i'm gonna go for something simple. Broom handle with a wide set of arms, and a front bar with a light skirt so they'll go in but not bounce out again.
