Tracer Pump

Hi guys,
Dont know if anyone has any knowledge on these beasties but when i connect the air to the back it shoots out the front like a air cannon.
Looks like everything is there but dont know how it goes together or if its missing parts as i havnt got a guide.

anyone has any ideas will be all ears

Cup seal in the valve is on the way out, when you air up try pumping it to see if it stops, if not the cup seal in the valve probably needs replacing. Danger zone in Sheffield have some ( or had last time I needed one) they don't have much of a website so you'd have to ring them.

think you got the bolt and the hammer the wrong way round. the brass part should be sliding along the tube

Yeah still leaks, just out the hopper feed rather than the front of the gun?? still sound like teh cup seal??

Yeah realised that when reasembling lol.

open up the valve and have a peak, my mates got on of these and all the part wore down so it would leak occasionally

Any tips on how to open it up or just go nuts (carefully)???

the brass part of the valve has flat edges, get an adjustable spanner on it and unscrew
to test if its the valve then air it up on its own without the rest of the gun put together
it should hold air if its not the valve

Yep what M600 said, if you open the valve up you should be able to unscrew the bottom of the long tube, its the seal between this and the bottom of the hole it goes through that is most likely bust, there might be a removable seal there - if there is try turning it upsidedown and putting it back together again.

Oh and when you're putting it back together again you only need to screw the brass bit back in hand tight.

since this subject just came up does anyone know where to get replacements or possibly a substitute? I read that some spider cup seals work with a little effort ?

Dangerzone in Sheffield is where I got my last one. Not sure about modding one. If Chris at dangerzone has none left then Bacci paintball will have some I would have thought.

I've also heard parts from the new empire trracer are interchangeable so a shop that stocks it might be able to get parts.
