Best tourny marker??

Depends on your preference too, some people prefer spool valves like the DM/Geo/Macdev, some prefer poppit markers like the ego or whatever.
Spoolies require a bit more maintenance.
I think personally the empire Axe is a wonderful marker for the money, definitely not something you'd be embarrassed to be seen with and more than capable of keeping up with markers at twice it's price point.
Get to a tourney, try as many as you can. Don't be afraid to ask players about their markers, they love talking about their kit

Thanks, alot of people are selling Etek 3's im looking at one of those. Would you recommend? Upgrade to the Axe, or the Etek/Ego series are always very hard to beat
That said, I'm a big fan of the mini too, you'd be better contenting yourself with that and spending your money on extra training/playing time. What will make you a better player, a shiney new gun or more trigger time ??

For ease of maintenance then poppets can go for ages without needing much cleaning, spoolies will need lubed a bit more often but usually can be just as easy to maintain. I notice you haven't said it outright but I'm guessing you are on a budget and for buying new, eteks are great middle of the road markers, they are really simple to clean out and perform outstanding compared to some other markers in that price range.
I have no choice but to buy a new one as my other half sold my red mini and Angel Fly SE, i have about £200-£250 i do like the look of the Etek. but at the moment im struggling to find one i like. the colour of it mean alot ha ha ........

i quite like the feel of a mini. nice lil marker. i've also had a play with an AXE, which was just as good.
