These use the A5 chipset of Go Pro Hero 2wanted a good condition GO PRO HERO 2.
If you also have a barrel mounta that would be perfect.
i thought the FPS on the contour was 50/60?Cheers for the advise guys. I have looked into that Contour and was tempted. The only problem with me is I'll be using it to also go snorkeling and snowboarding and many other sports as well as paintballing. So I need the higher FPS in high resolution for downhill riding and for it to be waterproof more then 1metre when in the water.
i mainly like the fact the contour is ALOT smaller lol ... sorry for jacking thread RickiHigher fps doesn't always mean smoother footage, especially when it comes to biking. I did a HD Hero2 shoot riding a motorbike (and mountain bike) around Amsterdam. Motion Tracking and optical flow were needed to get the footage even vaguely usable. As others have said, the Contour is probably your best bet. If you do go for one, the wide angle one (720p, but that's only relevant if you're putting it on Vimeo) get some really nice footage. Plus, the Contour has a built in GPS geo locator, so you can track your various adventures and superimpose it on your finished video. God. I sound like a salesman. Sorry.
My Opinion. GoPros - awesome, but to get awesomely awesome, you need to be able to edit at a high standard
Contour - badass for the money, more color depth (IMO, that really matters) and more forgiving footage.
Bye.
