Hello ma darlin's, right this is not my mini of which i speak, it is a friends. Today he told me his mini was giving him problems which found his first 10-20 shots were farting out and then would reach velocity (aparently). So, fresh duracell battery, i cleaned and lubed bolt guide, poppet, bolt with dow33 and checked detents (one of them was stuck inside the casing to its only running 1 detent). This seemed to solve the problem but caused another, now it wont chrono over 200 ish fps with the reg sitting at 200psi and adjusted with the back cap. i didnt notice a spring when i took the poppet out so could it be a v1 poppet (although the reg gauge goes to 300 psi and doesnt have v1 detent covers)? I did not personally take the reg above 200psi when chronoing as i have always owned a mini myself and know its bad news, but he said when he baught the marker third hand (atleast 3rds) it was sitting at 240 psi when aired up.
Any help appreiciated. X

Forgot to add he has already replaced the board but with a second hand optimus and tested the solenoid with that from a working tm7 which still gave him the problem. So im told anyway. X

If you read the manual, the mini was designedwith safety in mind and was designed to work best within the ranges of 180 velosity and 200 velosity. They say working higher or lower than these can seriously damage the internals.

Hope this helps somewhat :)

Are you sure the manual doesnt say its designed to work at 180-200 psi (on the reg guage not the velocity)?

Vanquish, he ordered a new poppet but has now moved away so never tested it. Hel be bak at some point an if i remeber to post on this i will. X

Have you another gauge you could try ? It maybe the gauge is either faulty or the internal part showing the readings could have moved ?
Just a thought :)
