The Angel Eyes finally passed "all" European and US standards and were to go into full production shortly before Angel closed shop. It wasn't Angels fault but a conflict between the manufacturer in Italy and the designer stopped production in its tracks and the "Eyes" were no more
There are arouind 20 pairs of prototypes floating around but, as it has been said, they are Prototypes and do not carry the safety standard marks so they would not be allowed to be used.
