Old news but just interested..

So i know this is old news now and is long gone but me and my friend were talking about it so technically it is a talking point..
Angel eyes were said to be the best goggle system, i suppose that is why they were so eagerly awaited, however if this is true and so many people were looking forward to them then why did no one try and carry on with the production of them? i know the rumours that Tippmann was supposedly buying angel but that hasn't happened so i was wondering why no one else has shown interest?
Also, we were wondering if they ever gave out prototypes for players to use before angel closed its gates?
I realise this is old but just confuses us.

personally i would not wear something like that is its still in the prototype stage and have heard numerour rumours about lenses cracking and popping out, How true that is i dont know but i cant imagine it has been approved by the required standards so if you did wear them on a field i again imagine that your insurance would be void and so would any event holders for not ensuring players are wearing correct safety equipment?

No mate I don't think they are approved yet but if I was to get hold of a prototype I think it may be possible to recreate it and therefore comply with the safety standards and be able to use it

what do you mean by "recreate" it ?

Because if you mean make your own version then again im pretty sure there are various legal implications, I could be wrong but thats how I see it. Please someone correct me if I am wrong

Ye mate me and my freind thought how they may have patented the parts, It wouldn't be a complete recreation as such I meant to add onto the prototype and make it useable, I do love the design of them even if thy are a bit bulky
