Obviously it is totally up to you but at the same time you had an asking price and you have received it. On the flip side of that I have highest bid anyway but I would want a deadline put on this so that I can make plans for it and my end.

Im not trying to take this thread off topic, but have been following this with some interest. The way I see it is that Buyer A offered not a low ball, but the lower end of what you were looking for. Buyer B offered the full asking price with the assumption that he would receive the goods (as per the rules), after which buyer A suddenly found the extra money to meet the asking price turning this into a bidding war, and not something we promote on this website or in the paintballing community for that matter.

to say one person is a genuine buyer for offering the asking price (After an offer was made at a price the seller stated would be acceptable) does not make you a genuine buyer... ur not telling me tht if the 1000 wasnt offered before that the second buyer would not had offered the same

Dave no mess at all, I didnt know about the price matched rule or non rule before it was quoted anyway and was well prepared for a bidding war with you

You make a very fair point and i agree with you to an extent... However, by genuine buyer, i meant that he genuinely wanted the goods hence he offered the asking price. A genuine buyer in my eyes isnt someone who offers below the asking price and then suddenly offers more once he realises hes been pipped to the post. If you look at it realistically, an "offer" is a price you give if (1) you think the item price is set too high or (2) you do not have enough funds to pay the full price. All im saying is that the buyer in question did not fulfill any of these criteria; since the initial price was already a bargain and he obviously had the funds to pay the full amount (and then some!)
Anyhow, you seem to be slightly biased towards one party. I know neither side and am just looking at it from a 3rd persons point of view completely impartial. Im just glad im not in the sellers shoes right now!

combat splat as big Dave pulled out and wouldn't match your £1200.00 the field is yours fella. ill message you my mobile so we can get this sorted asap but I can pretty much arrange any day which suits you.
guys to everyone else quoting I had spoken to lump about this and was allowed to get the most amount of money for the field as possible. I was trying to recoup some of the money I lost trying to take people off my site and put them onto super without charging them a fee! I was trying to help paintball and the expensive way for me! I lost customers who have started to play sup air but then moved on and stopped playing at the site. I must of introduced 30+ guys into sup air. not a lot but every site had done this in the last year or so tournament paintball would be in a healthier state than now!
so please don't start judging my motives etc to try and want to recoup some of the money I have lost!
