Are we allowed to say how good it was on this forum or just the bad things. Unfortunately my list of bad things isn't very long, wet feet, sun burnt head, over acting zombies and music being too loud in the safe area.

Nice one Dusty. Here's my take on events....

SPS DOING THE CAN CAN IN THE TOWN SQUARE

What a great weekend. I love the combination of a rolling game and a decent place to hang out having a few (ahem, ) beers with people who I normally only see for fleeting moments at other games.

Highlights.

- Rolling out with an (almost) full team attendance and wearing our new shirts for the first time. It was great to finally get everyone on the field together and every time I went out I could hook up with team mates and cause some trouble.

- Inserting in the A team van with DDR, Yetisam and Dbiggafigga. As an entrance into the game. It was hard to beat.

- Running away and being shot at by the A team van. They always said that it was going to be a bringer of pain. I expected nothing less. Massive props to SLR. Top job lads and lasses.

- Top gunning from a Humvee, a dream come true. I certainly wasn't overshooting people and whenever the grey team had them (which was a lot, understandably), I didn't feel they were being excessive. Great fun an d thanks to Warfighters for the opportunity of a lifetime. I got shot but I knew I would. Boo hoo for me.

- Hanging out in the QRF room and being stupid with the red and green lights. Singing and dancing for DS Pyro and Gill.

- Getting smashed with Ghost, SLR and other friends on Friday night. Did my whole weekends booze in 1 night after the bar had closed!

- Clearing a building with Clarkes. Although unfortunately the building was lost a few minutes later when an American/Canadian chap came through and eliminated everyone. I got a short shoulder massage and was informed that it was, "Time to go home." He also tagged Archie Barnett and proceeded to send every single one of the reds (including a few Postal) back to respawn. Move of the weekend. He's a ninja.

- Doing the can can with my team mates, Zoe Murray and some other friends through the town square.

- Playing Massive Connect 4 and watching various SPS and Ronan play Twister on Sunday night at the Youth Hostel. I lol'd hard.

Other Stuff.

- Catering was excellent, bar was excellent. Glad to see the barman who was hurt back at work. The mobile bar is better stocked and better run than most of the small pubs I've visited over the last couple of years. But be warned lads, Staargate will test you to your limit.

- A fantastic job by the HQ using the bare minimum. A laminated map, some white board markers and some radios. Job done.

- Paint was excellent. Bigger than average but I expect that with the clear paint now. It was pretty much dead on all weekend. Normally I don't examine my paint much other than checking the bore but i had a good look at the first bag I opened. Round, no dimples, no sweats. I didn't check again as I had no problems.

- Why don't people take their hits? I don't understand it. What is the point of being there? Anyhow. I don't let it get to me anymore. I play my game, they can play theirs.

- BZ and Fat Bobs. Thanks for being there again.

- Al, Tim, Suzy, Cessle, Slyboy, Cambo, Mike, all the marshals and registration staff, First Aid staff, parking guys, van drivers, Warfighters, SLR and everyone else involved in the event who I've failed to mention. Thank you on behalf of the whole team. We had an Epic Weekend.

See you all next year.

Yeah it was mental. Some of the Merc Mob were over, always good to see them. They damaged themselves though.

Was there, safe to say stick me in a camp site and I'll use the time getting smashed instead of paintballing *Face Palm*

Friday
Turned up with eelz and a few others from Outpost Chester in the afternoon, found a gap for our tent (campsite was tight, Shoreline had planned for the worse with the car parking basing it on one car per person but they hadn't taken the same approach to the camp site) Made an effort to register then started drinking like any real baller would do, got our heads down about 3am.

Saturday
Considering the forecast, there was only light showers and that was it glorious weather! (Happy days). Made the most out of the Saturday and played a good 9 hours, wasn't my cup of tea, I've played the site before at CtD II (loved CtD) and found that a 50+ hr game can get really thin on players at times while shorter games keep the fighting intense all day, I found like most games it stalemated quite a bit and the respawns didn't mix the game up as much as I was expecting.

Sunday
Spent Sunday doing kit runs to the car park so we could empty and clean the tent, our tent was worse inside than the mud tracks running through the campsite lmao.

Conclusion
All in all it was a good event, a few of our lads made the most of it playing through the days and nights and sleeping in between (Clever sods). It was certainly something different with the Humvees and A team van running through the game zone spitting out paint (The A Team van really stirred it up by swapping factions!!) and I can't wait to see the footage shot by the UAVs flying over.

My only two complaints would be the size of the campsite and the state of the bogs!! They were well stocked with $hit ticket but they were full to the brim if you know what I mean.

If anyone thought this was hard going (the camping side of it) then they should have tried kipping in those buildings in sub zero temperatures during CtD II and those complaining about the noise during the night game.... well..... what the hell did you expect! They said there would be continuous play and there would be pyros during the night! Invest In Ear Plugs!!!!

This speech only wants to make me go :) Nothing to do with the excess amount of beer or nothing ;) :)
