Okay ive seen a lot of people creating sales threads trying to sell their gear and it just looks horrible so i decided i would try and lend a hand lets start with the basics.
make it look professional
1) if you want your sales thread to be noticed make sure the title is simple and clear.
2) structure your thread starting with.
-what your selling and why your selling it.
-good information on the use of the items for sale all split into sections for each individual item.
-put titles at the top of each subsection like i am in this thread underlined and bold (can change font size if wanted)
3) it helps if you write using good grammar. A little punctuation can really go a long way. A comma here and there helps to break it up and make sentences read properly. (thanks to big mac)
taking your photos
when your creating your sales thread it is well known that you must include photos so a few good tips for these photos are:
1) use a good camera with the highest resolution you can upload
2) write your sign in neat handwriting
3) take pictures of the gun from many angles
4) make sure you use a neutral background or lay the item on a white table cloth so that you can see the item easily and clearly
5) if there is any damage to your item picture it! people would prefer that your honest and show them the damage rather then hide it!
6) Don't post dozens of links to sites like Photobucket when you can upload your photos straight to the thread!
price!
if your unsure on the how much you should sell an item for, ask before you advertise it! and always state clearly how much you want for the item whether you are interested in trades or not, (and if you are what for) and whether you are looking for a quick sale or are just selling it because its laying around so you are in no rush. when you put your price do it like this 160! this will make your price obvious, so that people don't miss it.
good luck!
i hope that you find this thread helpful, and that it will help you to sell your items easier. Because i personally would be more likely to buy an item off somebody if they take time in creating their sales thread, making sure that it looks good and provides all the necessary information! :)
(if you have any opinions on this thread please feel free to let me know)

A few extra points:-
1. Don't center all your text as it looks awful
2. Ensure you have the right pictures with the right item and not just dozens of links that people have to troll through
3. Emphasize the price £160 as its easy to lose it mixed up with all the other text

Fella... I was actually on about your post. *awkward*

Though I will admit it is much nicer buying off someone who can be bothered to write things properly.

If your serious about selling something on here then you will take the time to write up and prepare your thread (as i do).

I dont even bother buying from people who dont take the same time and care in their threads, you can usually tell from the first word if they are going to be useless or not!
