right then just been down to the shop, basically i found an allen key that fits, you cant even buy them in the uk, it was 3.5mm
took it to the shop, they chrono'd it again with Co2 and said the velocity i had before it was done was 330fps, although they knew it was with air so would have been lower (it was definetly 280fps with air) so its now set to 280fps with Co2 when i dont even use Co2

i was basically told that i would get 30m from the marker if lucky, and that i shouldnt expect anymore. Sooo long time there for nothing really. Did get to try the feel of a Proto Reflex, love the weight, and the trigger was amazing. I was recommended not to go for a dye marker, because they need so much maintenance. Everyone there rated Eclipse and very highly rated the Etek series, although they did have the etha, but they said they didnt like the trigger, thats adjustable though. They also recommended me to get the SAFER cylinder purely because its very light. They dont fill anything higher then 3k psi yet only sell one 3k cylinder........ Luckily i know a couple of places that fill up air tanks, so will ask them how much it is, have a feeling im going to have to buy a dive bottle of my own

all in all ive found out that my marker is very poorly rated, i cant fill anything more then 3k if i can even get 2k put in the tank, and that eclipse is extremely highly rated and i love the trigger on the speedball markers. For anyone that has an Etek, is there a semi-automatic mode? i cant understand the modes that it says on the website, and is there some sort of tournament lock to prevent changing the mode during game?

thanks, i just ripped my omega apart myself. Followed the manual which is for the old model, so the manual was useless. Got it apart, found out there was oil everywhere, except the bolts, so that was useless. cleaned it all out, found that there was marks all inside the barrel where the bolts where rubbing inside the barrel. Oiled everything up properly, put it back together, just stuck two paintballs in the chamber, fps is probably around 220fps since the drop from Co2 to Air. shot around 30 feet almost perfectly straight, running on an air tank with only 500psi in it, managed two shots with a single paintball, first time it bounced, second shot it popped against the wall i shot it at. so its shooting much better now :)

still going to upgrade it now though lmao. Im glad it has the semi-automatic mode, the list it has on the website just makes my head spin haha

just found a place by me that does indoor scuba diving, its only a 10 minute drive away and does air tank refills. Since i will have to go there to fill my air before going paintballing i think im going to go for the largest tank i can get, no point buying a cheaper tank if im going to be unable to play a full day. Just messaged the company to see how much they charge for fills, they also do full tank services which is great. If anyone wants the name and live in the wolverhampton area i will be sure to post it on here along with the prices.

if i can get the large 1.5L or 2L tank filled fully there then it should last me a full case of paint on the etek, unsure what pressure the etek will run at though so not sure how many shots i will get

I think i will buy the etek the start of july, then buy the tank and hopper after to see what size tank i need, the hopper is the last thing for me i think, mainly because i will use semi-automatic at the start so wont get use to rapid shots with the marker too quickly

I was recommended not to go for a dye marker, because they need so much maintenance.
if you count lubing up 7 or 8 o-rings every 2-3 days play on a bolt to much maintenance
this is a common argument used by people who do no maintenance what so ever to any gun they have every owned
had 3 proto guns and a macdev droid and never had a problem with any of them its a quick 5 minute job

saying that I do prefer a popit style marker

Many seem to. from the looks of the marker it is easy to maintain, i found a video on programming the etek 3 so the 4 should be similar. Im going to buy the marker, and use my current gravity fed loader and my 0.8l 3000psi air tank and see how many shots im able to get from that, i may find it more beneficial to spend £290 on a 4500psi 12L scuba tank and fill station and use it (carefully) to fill my 3000psi tank then spend £210 on a 1.5L 4500psi tank and have to drag it to the scuba place all the time. What do you all think?

i've found a couple of scuba tanks, its cheaper to buy new as 12l tanks are still getting £170 used, and will need testing where as they are only about £230 new, heres some i've found, designed for paintball

lips-paintball - 12L - 4500psi
rap4uk - 80 cuft - 3000psi (pretty sure its not 80 cuft, thats like 2200l)

i love this tony marker vs woodball marker stuff,,, one point to make,, most woodsball or miilsim markers have torny markers inside them today,,

X7 PHENNY ,,TM 7 TM15 mini invert based which in turn is emag based with out a sear,,

sp1 sp8 based on the ion,,,

angle ark
mec dev mil sim things,,, sorry forgot the name,,,

so with all this,, is there a point to going on about woods ball vs sup air,,, stop putting backets on markers,,

there markers,, whats more there is no magic marker,,,thats going to turn you in to a super player,,thats up to you,,it dont matter what marker you have,, i had my best games with a fluffy and tagging,,

as for distance,, 300fps is 300fps,, it dont matter what marker it comes out of,,

tony markers have a better shape fo playing paintball,,as they where designed to play paintball,,
mil sim or real guns where not designed to play paintball, there copys of real firearms,,, when was the last time you saw a soldier wearing a paintball mask..thats why sup air markers look the way they do,,< but they can be made better >

think about the above,, jez i hope this dont sound like a rant,, im very hung over at the moment,, me and the queen got very drunk at the palace last night,,, and its true she is shaven,,,
