what you need is a rifle with a silencer to not draw attention when you have to take out any that havent see you, and a nice boat just ofshore so you can tease them and have a laugh as they fall in to the water trying to get you. and if possible an apc to make sure there is no way they can get in and to mow them down on your way to the shops for weekly shop.

I'd go for a bow or crossbow and reuse ammo where possible for long range with it being quiet and fairly light. A katana and some bats would be useful too.

Me and a friend were having a discussion before into a boat and going to a remote island in this situation because zombies don't tire or breathe therefore they will be able to just walk underneath the water and eventually you will be FUBAR.

And for the record, Katana's would be useless against zombies. They are designed to give fatal slashes to stomachs/throats, not to cut through bone. And even if you get a few good swings out of them, they'll become too blunt to sever any heads. A Mace on the other hand...

depends on how smart zombies turn out to be if there left 4 dead style we could have some trouble, if there walking dead style I dont think it would last long as I dont honeslty know how zombies beat a tank.

Doesn't matter how smart they are, they are basically food for everything that wants a go at them, so wouldnt last long. Combined with the fact that biting people is a crappy way to spread infection I don't think it would be too much of a prob.
