Hey guys i'm still pretty new to everything (started in Nov11).
I have an Ego11 which i love to bits and it shoots great. But i have seen people talking about how good there gun is setup and how triggers are setup to perfection. Now i understand this is probably down to personal preference. But could anyone point me in the right direction.
So i was wondering how setting up an Ego would go and how much better could it be from standard.

What would you change and what would you change it too and what would the up/downsides be.
Any advice is welcomed.

Thanx alot.

Mince.

To be honest there's not much you can upgrade on an ego 11, they are top spec standard. Only upgrade worth investing in would be a boost barrel kit giving you bore size preference. You can adjust the trigger to sit how you like it ie mess around with the magnet, trigger activation etc to get it feeling very light on the fingers :) you can adjust the solenoid with the gauges on it which will allow you to set it to how you like the gun shooting ie how smooth the gun shoots which reduces efficiency or increased efficiency but not as smooth shooting, however when I had my ego 11 I found it was best on the factory settings whih I think was 5 and 7 getting th best of both worlds (efficiency and smoothness) ;) You have one of the best boards on the market in that gun and can customise it which ever way your want. If you were to buy the eportal upgrade kit you can fully customise the board from your computer allowing you to put personal graphics on there :D hope some of this information helps :)

Yeah thanks a lot. I have the barrel backs kit for it. What settings would be smoothest and what would be most efficient.
Is there a template kind of setting for setting up a trigger. It seems ok to me but i really wouldnt know any better.
I have the e-portal but it only works on pc's and i have a mac. Haha. Typical. :D

Factory settings get the best of both efficiency and smoothness, which I think is on the left gauge '5' and the right gauge '7'. It tells you in the manual ;) and for the trigger you literally just mess about with all the screws until its perfect, one controls the strength of the magnet, another the activation point an the others are to do with reach (its all in the manual ;)) If your at the CPPS on the 17th I'm sure I could tune it to perfection for you :)

As Alex say. :) If you are no where near the CPPS, and are near Apoc at Royston I will be more than happy to have a look at your trigger for you.

dont touch it if it works ! yes you can play with the trigger but change it to much then you marker wont cycle and then you will more likely take the whole thing to bits and then break it even more lol if you really want to play with the trigger then read the manual and make any adjustment with small turns as it is easy over adjust.

And i wouldnt suggest touching the dials on the board neither as this will effect performance !! you need to put through at least 10k though it before you start playing around with it but thats your choice.

Dont bother with bolts or anything if it has the cure bolt in which it will then your fine - Shaft kit is the only thing to get to bore match your paint. spend more money on paint and play rather than upgrades which arent needed.

Cheers for all the advice guys. I dont think im at Cpps on the 17th its a bit close to my exams. I'll drop you a msg if i am though and thanks for the offer from Alex and Automag i'll be sure to keep it in mind.
I think the underlining tone is to read the manual but thats so much hard work :D
I might give it a tinker but i'm leaning towards the if its not broke dont fix it way of thinking. I think i'll adjust the dials so its smooth as i dont really hav a issue with shots and its easy to reset.

Thanks alot guys.
