I have been lurking around the forum for a few days now and I figured I would post up and say hello to everyone. There seems to be a good bit of knowledge around and I am looking forward to learning the sport. I have a handful of buddies who play monthly so they have shown me around a little, and I picked up an 07 Shocker from one of them to start with. I have also been slowly been picking up equipment to get myself ready, hopefully I can get on the field this month!

What ever you do... don't fiddle with the shocker. I made that mistake before I knew what I was doing with them! If it works leave it until it stops working... at which point refer to www.zdspb.com it is the holy grail for shockers!

Yeah I've been to that site to learn what I can, my NXT may be a few years old but it hasn't been used that much at all. I know both of the former owners and it was just part of their collection haha. It's in good condition, I inspected it, re-cleaned and lubed all the parts, and I'm waiting for my o-ring kit so I can replace them all and start brand new. I know there are tons of newer options out there but this will do just fine until I get settled in!

Good on you for getting spare o-rings but trust me, wait until it starts giving you problems such as leaking, FSDO, or general drop off before you replace them.

Thanks for the welcome...Still on the look out for a hopper, bottle and pod pack. No big deal, I'll catch up eventually. But yeah, it's coming along, I'm still waiting on some shipped items. It seems like every time a Dye rotor pops up it's gone just as quick haha.

Tbh bud, there are other loaders on the market. i use a standard Halo b, the only difference is it uses 3 more batteries than a rotor! I would recommend just get a cheap motorised loader to start you off, Then if a Rotor comes available at a decent price then away u go!

O btw, dont listen to the Haters, i swear by shockers, i had a nxt for years and it never missed a beat :)

Welcome to the world matey :)

personally i prefer the prophecy cos it will load the recreational paint some sites use which my rotor wont however i like how the rotor is soooo simple and efficient on batteries, its all down to user needs

plus the prophecy is cheaper ;)

the shocker is a lovely gun, my mates had one for years, the only reason people are hating is because smart parts went under, when it comes to hoppers i have tried the rotor, prophecy but i have a magna and cant justify getting anything more expensive, its personal preference i love my magna to peices :)
only question left is if you go carbon fibre or steel bottle ;)
