Ah fair enough, can't argue with that.

It will be epic. 53 hours of solid play, Humvees, pyro, Apache gunship flypast in game (tbc), the best scenario paintballers in the world.

It's the Carlsberg game.

If I could only do one game this year it would be this one.

I have been reading bits and bobs on this and on UKS and cannot wait for this event. Whilst I have played scenario events before I have never camped at one. For anyone that has played at sennybridge before, could I ask a couple of questions.

How far is the trek between car parking and camping area - If far, can cars be driven in to dump stuff and then go to car parking ??
How far is the trek between camping area and safe zone/playing areas ??
Am I really going to be playing all through the night and for the full 52 hours ??
Should I book the monday off work ??

Thanks in advance and look forward to seeing you al there.

Phil

with regards to some of the Q's, its hard to give right answer, as this is a diff type of event from the last one.

But il try.

Car park to camping- dont no wear we will be camping, but the staging area was a 5-10 min walk at the last event from where u got off, with regards to "got off". you are met with a van, which will take your gear to the staging area and u walk up and meet it, as the car park is a good bit away from the staging area.

Safe zone, it was a 5 min walk to any safe zone at the last event at sennybridge

52 Hours, U can play for as long or a little as you want, THE GAME is 54 hours long, and you can jump in and out as u want.

Monday- Hell yes, this is long weekend, with a lot of paintballing, take the monday off to let your body recover. I dont know about u, but i have 16-20 hours of travel too and from the event. so i will deff be off monday.

This is just my opinion, you will get your deff answers when the player pack is released

EDIT: Totally beaten too it by the Irishman!!!!!!!

No worries Phil. My answers are based on the last game here, things may have changed, we wont know until players pack released. or pop over to UKS and ask (organiser not allowed on here).

How far is the trek between car parking and camping area - If far, can cars be driven in to dump stuff and then go to car parking ?? car park was about a mile, we dropped of kit etc then parked. There was also a van running back and forth :)

How far is the trek between camping area and safe zone/playing areas ?? No idea, last time we stayed in the buildings (was chilly at -14 degrees!) this time due to game we're camping. Camp location unknown to me.

Am I really going to be playing all through the night and for the full 52 hours ?? Play whatever you want :) personally, we booked 5* hotel near the place and having my stag doo in Cardiff on the Saturday night, so we wont be. I predict normal daytime activites for me plus an hour or two each night. tbh it will depend how sober I am.

Should I book the monday off work ?? I have, mainly cause we have a mental drive home. If there was 1 game of the year I was booking a monday off for it would be this :p

Its a cracking site, lots of up close and personal. Gonna be mental.

The camping was quite far away before but there was a kit/person shuttle. To be honest I wouldn't want to make any assumptions based on previous events as this is going to be a totally different kettle of fish.

All will become clear when the player pack is released. I believe they are starting to concentrate on this now so we should have plenty of info in plenty of time.

I doubt if anyone could make it through 52 hours but with some strategic disco naps you could probably play a lot of it. That's my plan anyway.

I've booked the Monday off and our team has booked a load of beds in a youth hostel so we can have a good kip and a feed before driving back on Monday. Driving back on Sunday could be dangerous.

One thing I can confirm, as I have asked the organiser, is that we will not be expected to clear up after the event. We never were going to be. This is not Call To Duty, this is the Tippmann Challenge. A proper scenario game which should have as many of the bells and whistles as can be expected at the top of the Brecon Beacons.

I love facts. They're great.

Thanks guys for the replies, I know alot of this info will be in the players pack, I am just a little concerned with the many items (bag of playing kit, beer, tent equipment, beer, portaloo, beer, fridge, beer, shower, beer, jacuzzi and some beer !! ;)) that I will be needing to bring that I am going to have a 10 mile trek to and from the car. Most playing are going to be in exactly the same position as me anyway.

I just want to play as much as poss with the minimal amount of hassle. I already started praying for the sun as I dont fancy sleeping in -14 conditions.

Less than 4 months now !!!
