High/Low pressure Bottles

i Have just bought a PMI 4500psi Air System, it wasn't labelled as high or low pressure but it has a blue neck so im assuming its low pressure, i have an etek 3 and ego 05, i have contacted eclipse and they say it may cause more of a drop off and recommend high pressure bottles.
basically im asking, is the bottle low pressure? what is the difference between high and low pressure bottles, will it effect either guns and should i send it back?

The output pressure on LP PMI regs are approx 450 psi. Recharge rate on the is'nt too bad.
The Ego 05's operating pressure if i can remember is approx 320/330 psi @ 280/290 fps

I never used LP on my 05, but i did use a crossfire LP on my 06. The crossfire reg output was same as the PMI regs, but the Ego 06 operation pressure was approx 280 ish i think.
I never had a problem with the 06 running LP @ 280 fps , and a ROF of 15bps.

It has always been recomended to use HP on ego's.
Why dont you try it and see if you get any drop off at the velocity and rate of fire you intend on playing with.

There was a LP/HP conversion kit for the PMI regs available to buy a few years ago, not sure if they still sell them.

PMI or Pure Energy? Pure Energy blue regs are HP output of about 850/900psi

The only way you can tell really if you have a pressure tester.
I made my own using a remote line on/off and a 1200psi gauge and another for LP bottles using a 600psi gauge

If you stick a 0-1200psi gauge in the spare port on your ASA you'll be able to see what the tanks output pressure is... simples

i ordered a PMI but i have received a Empire bottle (Propelled by Pure energy) or thats what it says , with a blue pure energy neck ? is there any writing on it that would say whether its high or low pressure?

Is the bottle black or grey?

If its the grey Empire bottle it will have a reactor 2 reg which is HP 800output

If you bought the reg and bottle new from a retailer, did you specifically ask for HP ?
If you did, they should would have sent you out a bottle with a HP output.
Have you called the place you bought from and asked if the bottle they sent you is HP or LP ? Thats the first thing to do.
If they sent you out the wrong pressure, then you will need to take it up with the shop you bought from. Im sure they will exchange it for you if the bottle and reg has not been damaged or tampered with in anyway.
