Shock showing up as a DQ for paris, any one know any reason why? I hope shock play next season, they started in longchamps with a very good showing against dynasty and a good showing all in all, The guys are all sound guys and I'd hate to see a strong UK team fold.

London Shock did not attend the event, no idea what the reasons behind this were but the squad was not in Paris.
ahh, that would be why. Unfortunately, that would just fuel the rumours that they wont be playing next year. Cheers marco.

Hmmmm, not good for UK paintball that's for sure; for all of Shock's problems, they've been around for a long time, I started Shock in the early nineties and it's been at the top of the UK paintball scene ever since with varying degrees of success.
If they have folded then it brings to an end to one of UK's top pro teams and it seems as though the dreaded expense of playing pro paintball has finally had its wicked way with those guys.
This sad news is contrasted heavily against other reports from Paris that tend to imply it was a really good event in terms of foot traffic and vendor attendance.
Lump remarked, 'it was the best event he's been to for over 3 years', and with that firmly in mind, I wonder if the UK is in sympathy with this apparent recovery or are we independent of it and still managing to contract .... Can anyone please post if they believe this event was better than the previous events of the year and whether or not it did seem to be an improvement in terms of the last 3 years.
It would be helpful to get information from a customer's point of view ... thanks in anticipation.

PS Apology for thread hi-jack but in this case I hope you'll understand.

Compared to the last event

Venue: Eurodisney/A field in Essex

Teams Entered: 168/128

Weather: Warm & Sunny/Warm, partly overcast

Playing surface: 75% astro/100% grass

Night life, bars, restaurants: Disney Village & Val D' Europe/Baz Vegas

Just a start, and those 40 extra teams weren't 5-man they were another 12 Race to 2 teams and twice as many D2 Race to 4.

Complaints, for the regular D2/3 teams, the large number of of wild card teams, considering that the winning D2 team was bolstered by JRab and Little Leif.
Oh, and loosers complaining about the reefing.
