I've been having a few problems with my Etek 1 and trying to get solutions, only to find the previous owner has changed a lot of the stock parts.

I cleaned the LPR earlier, only to notice that the LPR body is orange. It may sound a stupid question but what colour is all of yours? I'm just wondering if this is also something he's upgraded or some do come with orange ones as the only ones I've ever seen on Google are silver.

Thanks

Ah ok, I bought it second hand so I didn't know if it was upgraded or stock.

It's got a Dye Hyper 2 Reg on it.

You might be best seeing if you can borrow one from somebody or seeing if any one has one for sale not sure if the reg from a etek 2 will fit dont see why not tho. Or contact planet and get ready to pay. Im going to send mine in soon because mines bust to :mad:

I don't really know anyone that could let me borrow one lol. Haven't seen any for sale either but I'll be posting up a Wanted thread in the next couple of days.

I've posted in the Planet Eclipse section of the forum, hopefully one of the guys will reply soon. If you do send yours in to be fixed would you let me know how much it costed you please so I will know for future reference?

An Etek 1 runs operating pressures between 250-280 psi.
Hyper 2 reg has adjustments of pressures from 50-450 psi.

If there is nothing wrong with the Hyper 2 reg, it would be more than sufficient to operate the Etek.

First thing i would do is to borrow an inline reg from someone to rule out the problem is with the reg before you go splashing out on something and finding it was'nt the problem.

Try another air system too, just to rule out nothing is restricting air into the marker.

I have read up on your other thread, althou you have done all the checks people have suggested already, make sure all the orings are the correct size's, specially on the moving parts ie. rammer, bolt, HPR and LPR regs.

Post up your dwell settings, (number of flashes on the LED every letter on the back E, G and O)
Stock dwell=14ms
Number of flashes in magenta/purple mode :
E = 1
G = 4
O = 0

Make sure to save the setting after you have adjusted these parimeters (manual shows how or youtube for step by step video)

Ah ok, someone told me that the Hyper 2 reg operates at around 155 psi so it wouldn't be sufficient for my Etek.

Do you think someone on this forum would let me borrow their inline reg if needs be? I don't actually know anyone who has an Etek.

Yes, I've checked all the O-rings, that was the first thing I did.

And I've reset the board to factory settings so if the default is 14ms then that's what mine will be at :)
