Etek 1 Ego problem - low FPS.

Ive got the manual in my hand mate, although I can't unscrew the reg any further than what I have in picture one.

Turns out it's a Dye Hyper 2 regulator which is why I couldn't find out how to disassemble it like it says in the manual.

Right....

I've:
Reset board to factory settings
Installed new battery
Stripped, cleaned re-lubed the hammer
Same with the bolt
Same with the LPR
Same with the inline regulator

Just aired up the marker and put about 250 balls through it. It fired very well, but I don't think it was at 280fps (it may have been but I have no way of testing). So a couple of questions:

1) Does anyone have a chrono that I can borrow? I don't have one of my own and the nearest site is around an hour away.
2) Does anyone know how much the PSI increases on a Hyper 2 Regulator after one full turn of an Allen Key?

If I was you, I'd try and get hold of an original etek inline reg.

It was designed for gun and alot easier to set up and tech.

Try calling planet or put a WTD thread up..

And also get to a local site and actually see what the FPS is ???? its hard to gauge if you have no experience

My local site is over an hour way and I can't drive yet. The FPS is definitely much better than it was, I know it's not far off 280 but an exact amount would be best. I suppose I'll have to wait until Staargate :/

if you feel it is running at 280 anyway then leave it ! it will increase a little in summer months anyway so dont worry about it
