x-box or ps3 advice

Having to please every member of the household,We have gone for the XBox 360 with kinect,as Megan does want to roll around on the floor as a tiger cub.

I didnt read beyond the 1st post, but kinect will deffo appeal to a 9 year old. If he wants to progress from the wii then kinect is the next stage also in that case people saying it has blu ray im guessing wouldnt appeal to a 9 year old also.

Kinect will keep a young kid entertained for hours. When we had a demo at work they didnt leave till closing haha

I have an xbox. everything feels solid and well built. My mate has a ps3. For me it feels like something i'd buy down at the pound shop, build quality is cheap. Games is roughly the same for both of them. Yes, there are exclusives but the industry is seeing a move away from that in general.

How has blu ray been taken up by the porn industry? If they have taken it up then it'll probably stick around. If not, my guess is it'll go the way of MiniDisc.

Or you could treat the missus, and tell your kid to go play with his imagination. That way you get kudos from Cheryl!

Yes it has. That was the reason bluray won over HDDVD.

PS3 user myself, don't really have any other argument than that I've had Sony consoles since the PS1 so I stick with what I know.

got my xbox and ps3 sat side by side and always go for the ps3. for one it loads games a lot quicker, and if you compare the graphics of the same game on both the ps3 is better. (afterall microsoft have been sued for using ps3 gameplay videos in thier adverts)
