Ego9 problem

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help, I have an Ego 9 which had velocity spikes this weekend. I chrono’ed it several times though out the day. It was spiking between 276- 285, then on occasion spiked to 299-315. I did several barrel changes trying several bore sizes as I thought it was a paint match issue even with the 693 it spiked... When I got home last night I stripped the gun down and found that one of the rammer o-rings was split down the centre. I have look on the PE web site for a spares kit for the Ego9 and can’t find one. Does any one know where I can get replacements? And how I can stop this from happening again?

i got myself a comprehensive kit from Just paintball, has everything in there for pretty much any eventuality. Nice to know its in your kit bag in case anything happens. I think the rammer o-rings take a bit of abuse even with the Plank kit, i have heard over dwelling can put alot of pressure on them to. how often is it happening? if its only every 6 months or so, swap them out as part of routine maintenance.

Failing that post up which oring has split, e.g if it is the middle oring then it is a size NBR09 and someone may have one they could post you.

Thanks for getting back to me, it's the 009-Ram Front Bumper o-ring that I need, I have all the others in my spares kit so don't really want to buy the comprehensive kit. I have looed at an o-ring specialist site but would have to buy a minimum of 100 orings to get a replacement that might be an option, unless anyone has spares?

Your velocity spikes are unlikely to be linked to the o-ring issue though....if i were you i'd inspect your Inline Regulator piston seal as that is the primary cause of reg creep and the symptoms that you have described.

Thank you once again, Nicky I'll strip the reg tonight and run the tests with the dwell settings @ 3 like advised when I get the o-rings. Stoney's sending the o-rings out. Once again a big thank you to the PE tech team for the advice and help so far.
